yes, LV426 is just 2 days away. Hopefully we will get some news on the sequel
Good to know the world is expanding and maybe they will go beyond Earth . Hopefully we will be able to see Season 2 in 2027 Summer.
Where do they come from actually?Giant wheats, because the engineers are huge like 3 meters height.
So people are leaning into the Romulus sequel has been shelved and replaced by a completely standalone film? I’m okay with that. I think multiple projects with different storylines isn’t a bad idea. If the next movie is actually continuing what Romulus set up, then it is reasonable to assume Kay’s body is in cryo and the remaining Z-01 likely stayed onboard secured. Those are still obvious live threads. The same goes for Rain and Andy. The idea that a sequel would move on from them does not line up with what Fede has said and not treating them like disposable characters. Based on the information we have, it makes more sense to view these elements as unresolved setup rather than assume they were quietly discarded offscreen. Hope we get some news on the 26th.
I could totally see a completely new standalone film but I wouldn't mind a direct sequel either, solely because of the wholesome chemistry between Rain and Andy alone. While the creative possibilities are endless in this particular regard I just can't see a replacement for David Jonsson's Andy. He stole the show in my book.
You think they destroyed the pathogen (Z-01) along with Kay’s body before arriving at Yvaga?
Would like to see this sequel and more prequels before AvP or Earth.
Honestly, as much as I loved David Jonsson as Andy, I wouldn’t be mad if they introduced a completely new storyline for the next instalment. I mean, what really are the chances of Andy and Rain getting themselves into more Xenomorph conflict if they’re not actively seeking it out? Highly unlikely.
I hope so, I loved that storyline.
To understand the reason the ship is controlled by a flute, you must first understand the philosophy Baudrillard. To represent something sacred like a human being, with a lower-resolution artificial simulation like an Instagram post or an android named David, is what Baudrillard would have called "the profane." It is an insult to the Second Commandment and the First. The engineers are a technosacred civilization. They do not control their technology with graven images, but with ritual. That is why the interface is a flute.
Peter Dinklage could show up in a goddamn power loader and it still wouldn’t fix Alien: Earth, the real concern is that the Romulus sequel is the project that actually mattered, and here we are on April 15, 2026 with Fede no longer directing, no real official momentum, and that supposed October 2025 shoot date long gone.
Nope! Alien Romulus is more re-watchable.
He's a darn good actor no doubt.
Was this interview conducted by you guys or is it from somewhere else? Only asking because it seems like it starts in the middle of the interview.
The content of the Weyland-Yutani Archives blog was ported over from a personal project created and originally maintained by Xeno_Alpha_07, owner of this blog. I can't speak for him or his content, but perhaps he'll log back in and answer your question!

I do like the casting as well, but will it be enough to pivot the series in the right direction? We’ll see… lol
this is good news. He is a great actor and I hope he will kick some ass on those pets :p
@Anonymous - the hype is real. Covenant is having a comeback.
An article from Collider just came out about Covenant being in the top for streaming rn.
I hope they are going to use better aliens this time.
I'm not sure it should have been used for the script but they should have used more of it in Prometheus. To me that script seems more logical (no petting a space snake, and so on), than what we got.
Peter Dinklage has joined the cast!
That’s an interesting result. Shocked to see Romulus not as high up there though. But I agree. Please finish the prequel movies Ridley. Haha
I just want ALIEN: PARADISE, or whatever the third prequel movie was going to be titled, which covers David's arrival at the colonies with his special cargo. I feel we were denied the closure and/or dovetail into ALIEN that we were promised with PROMETHEUS and COVENANT. I know they have script issues, but they are superbly made films otherwise.
you have the alien pods/eggs that produce the face huggers on the ship. They seem to open up when motion is detected near them? The pod in the ship that kills Knewt at the beginning of 3 wouldn’t have opened. If the were all in the pods? Curious if anyone has thoughts.
Well, I had posted another poll asking which one people preferred between Alien Earth and Alien: Romulus and 96% of votes favoured Alien: Romulus so I think it's safe to assume that Earth can't touch the films.
@Jonesy 😂 caught deadass. @Chris they’re definitely surprising. Wonder more aren’t voting? Poll is getting closer to 2,000 views. Curious how people rate Alien: Earth(not for me) against the film series.
Same here Jonesy, I haven't rewatched Alien Earth once yet, but I did put on Covenant and Romulus the other day. Trying to forget AE exists tbh 😂
I’m a huge fan of Covenant. Like that it’s getting some love.
Hi Sir Ridley. Welcome to the board. :p
Speaking of rewatch, I am surprised I haven't rewatched ALIEN EARTH at all. I don't hate the show but I just don't have the urge to rewatch it again. I instead rewatched ROMULUS a few times and quite enjoy it.
I’m a huge fan of Covenant. Like that it’s getting some love.
Agreed, I'm happy to see it getting so much love but I am genuinely surprised by these results.
Parents, in regards to their children, are a symbol of authority, restriction, and imposition. Their presence looms over their children. David has the intelligence of an adult (more-so), yet still remains a child or at the whim of his creator, has extreme feelings of resentment.

I'm sure the timeline can be preserved and expanded upon with what's been established. I'm personally not a fan of re-inventing new timelines to cop-out from maintaining a coherent story.
Covenant more rewatchable than Aliens? In what world...
Since sharing this poll across our social channels - a number of new votes have flooded in and at one point, ALIENS did overtake Covenant for the 2nd most re-watchable spot - but as time continues to go by, Covenant is receiving even MORE votes - maintaining its 2nd place position.
I remember the Alien: Engineers script! I really liked Jon Spaights original idea for the Alien prequel. I hope parts of it are recycled for future installments one day.
I'd put Romulus in 2nd or 3rd place. Convenant is probably my least favorite of the whole series and very hard to rewatch.
That's indeed a surprising result. Covenant at #2? Interesting. Each to their own, I'm just curious. Aside from stunning visual effects (particularly Lander 1's descent) and cinematography, I thought that the action scenes were too swift and half-heartedly done and the mid-act with David's philosophizing really slows the film down and shifts focus in a negative way, but that's just me. Alien Romulus is way more re-watchable despite feeling like the most lavish fan-film wrapped in Hollywood production I've ever seen.
I would rank Alien Covenant very low on that list
