@Alain
Maybe not - perhaps its time for Scott to..........
Disappear:
As for Lindeloff -Hopefully work will dry up for this guy now. But I doubt it, he's in with the soulless corporate suits now.
He writes stuff that they like - They just see the dollar - Prometheus will make a good return i'm sure. Lindeloff will be hired for part 2 to make it even more convoluted and even more of a sacrilege to the masterpiece that was the original Alien -
God knows Dan O Bannon must be turning in his grave......

Urgh, means Shaw and David and SJs returning to the planet then doesn't it? If there is a sequel just focus it on the SJ planet

Shaw dragging David's body and head into the ship does make you think that David will be reassembled in time for a sequel.

It does look like a sequel is possible, It even (in some aspects more than others) look as if Ridley Scott has started a new franchise which in the end may turn out to be a bunch of prequels to the "Alien" franchise. I believe this because of the similar situations and sets/aliens involved in both "Alien" and "Prometheus", Like the room full of those eggs in "Alien", Is sort of represented by the rooms in the big C shaped ship that tries to take off which are full of those odd cylinders that leak later on in the film (Yes, before anybody says I am aware that HR.Giger worked on both films). The Alien at the end of "Prometheus" also closley relates to the aliens in "Alien", With the long head crest at the back of the skull and the extending inner mouth, this could possibly be an early "Alien" alien before evolving or changing which is later discovered by the crew in "Alien". The language that David reads that is inscribed into the walls almost resembles the writing of the "Predator" which is obvioulsy linked to the "Alien" franchise with "AVP".
