AC Connection to the creator of the eggs in Alien1 ?

I think the original idea in alien was the eggs were a weapon created by the SJ/ engineers. the mural depicts eggs/ hugger and xeno so anything david does is recreation and/ or adaptation. my theory is the derelict was one of several ship sent to wipe out a band of rebel engineers who had taken control of the facility on lv223. the xeno got loose on the derelict and it crashed, possibly on purpose. this would tie in with the hologram the crew of the Prometheus witness and the warning sent out by the derelict. would also confirm ridleys comments that the derelict and what happened at the lv223 facility r connected.
